- There is a project for building tourist and ski zone in Tryavna. The project comprises territory with total 451 hectares located in the southeast part of national park Balgarka. It is expected ski lifts and ski paths for using all year around to be completed.
- According to the program for development of tourism, Tryavna will put accent on ecotourism. The biological potential is a good opportunity for the growth of stable ecotourism.
- As per the same program for development of tourism in Tryavna for 2008, the aim is to be used the available natural and cultural historical landmarks which are with national and international importance to turn Tryavna in a competitive tourist destination.
- The focus will be on cleaning and technical maintenance of the existing ecopaths, as well as on creating and promoting of new tourist routes, ecopath, park and green areas.
- Examining the opportunities of creating a project for a center simulating the old Bulgarian handicrafts in the yard of Daskalova house.
- Opportunities of creating projects for developing caves in Tryavna region and turning them in a tourist attraction.
- Regenerating forgotten local traditions and handicrafts and developing further the activity of the present ones.
- Demonstration of handicrafts and teaching tourists accepting them in workshops and ateliers.
- Above 20 million BGN has been invested in Tryavna municipality for the last 4 years. A lot of building permission have been issued. At present is being observed high interest toward Tryavna from people of other regions in our country and from foreigners, commented from the local administration.
- This year is expected to begin construction of purifying station for refuse waters in Tryavna that should be completed till 2010. With building of this new installation the expenses for electricity will decrease four times.
